Every woman is worthy of easy access to proper menstruation hygiene supplies and practices. However, in regions of Africa women especially lack the adequate supplies to manage their basic needs. It is even worse for those in prison. The lack of sanitary facilities and pads has meant that female prisoners have to use dirty rags during their menstrual cycle. These practices not only cause infection and disease, but are also a source of humiliation and emotional distress.
World HOPE Spreaders (WHS) was not insensitive to the appeal for donations launched by the Chadian League for Women's Rights to help women in Chad's prisons. Thus, on May 26th, WHS volunteers made a small contribution to help achieve this action.
